Intro:
Jai Shree Shyam! If you are planning a spiritual journey to Khatu Shyam Ji in Sikar, Rajasthan, this guide is for you. Based on my recent trip, I’m sharing the most updated information on how to reach, where to stay for under ₹1100, and how to get Darshan without standing in 5-hour lines.

1. How to Reach Khatu Shyam Ji (Updated 2026)

The most common way to reach the temple is via Reengus (Ringas) Junction.

  • By Train: Several trains run from Delhi and Jaipur to Ringas Junction (RGS). From the station, the temple is about 17 km away.
  • Local Transport: You can take a shared e-rickshaw or jeep from Reengus to Khatu for approximately ₹20 – ₹30 per person.
  • By Road (Jaipur): It is an 80-90 km drive (approx. 2 hours) via the Sikar Highway.
  • Bus: RSRTC and private buses from Sindhi Camp start as low as ₹112.
  • Taxi: A one-way private cab from Jaipur starts around ₹1500.

2. Temple Timings & Darshan Tips

To avoid the massive 2026 crowds, timing is everything. The temple generally follows these hours:

Darshan TypeTiming
Mangla Aarti4:30 AM – 5:30 AM
Morning Darshan5:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Afternoon Break1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Evening Darshan4:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Pro Tip: Try to reach the gate by 4:00 AM or visit during the 3:30 PM slot right before the temple reopens from the afternoon break to avoid peak evening rushes.
3. Where to Stay (Budget & Comfort)

Finding a clean room in Khatu can be a challenge during weekends.

My Stay: I found a very clean, peaceful room for ₹1100 per night located about 1.5–2 km from the temple.

Other Options:

Dharamshalas: Many private dharamshalas like Banshidham offer rooms starting from ₹750 – ₹950.

Hotels: Near the Toran Dwar, hotels like Hotel Modern Palace offer rooms around ₹1100 – ₹1300 if booked in advance.

4. Important Sites to Visit

Don’t just visit the main temple; make sure to cover these sacred spots:

1. Toran Dwar: The iconic entrance where your spiritual walk begins.

2. Shyam Kund: The holy pond where it is believed the head of Barbarika was found. A dip here is considered very auspicious.

3. Shyam Bagichi: A beautiful garden near the temple where the flowers for Baba’s Shringar are grown.

5. 2026 VIP & Special Entry

If you are traveling with elderly family members, the Temple Trust now offers paid passes to skip the general queue:

VIP Darshan: ₹100 per person.

Tatkal Pass: ₹150 per person (useful for peak days like Ekadashi).

How to book: You can book these on the official website shrishyammandir.com or at the offline counter near the temple.
